Temporary solution for centrate denitrification
The Beggen WWTP in Luxembourg is being fitted with a centrate denitrification plant that uses the anammox process. Prior to the commissioning of the plant, planned for the summer of 2019, there will be a provisional solution for the biological processing. An existing rainwater basin has been converted to treat the sludge dewatering centrate. Since December 2017, part of the centrate has been denitrified there in a SHARON flow reactor. The system is designed for a centrate quantity of 225 m³/d.
